I agree with mattsw.... its a truly magical country with amazing people. However i will say, i went to playa madeara (spelling??) eight years ago and then returned last year to see a completely different beach. It was weird because im only 26yrs old and it was the first time id ever personally witnessed what happens to places when they are globally discovered for their surf potential. I still scored plenty of amazing waves and had a fantastic time and will return in the future no doubt.

I've been to Nicaragua 3 times. I absolutely love it! I love the culture and the people. Each time I went, I stayed in homes not hotels. Best experience I've ever had.

this place has only been accessible by boat for years but now there planning to build hotels etc... the last time i was here i saw a truck on the beach and the guy said the only way you can access the beach by road was by owning property in the luxury estates..its a big time bummer
