The photo is deceiving....this was a smaller wave that broke closer to shore. There were about 20 guys hidden behind the wave. But it is cool to look at a big wave in Hawaii and only see one surfer.

I almost cannot believe this. If I saw that then even though it is way bigger than anything I've surfed before, I'd have to go out there. I mean, one bloody surfer at Waimea? That only happens once in a lifetime. 8-10ft hawaiian and no one out. WTF?
