Nice Adam! Thought i recognized that board! The swells have been pretty great of late eh!?
Adam Cornick Feb 10, 2011 Rating: -2
Winter swells are here for sure Chris, capped with a nice sunset tonight. Winter isn't so bad!!

I'll tell you there is something strange about shoveling out your car so you can go surfing. Then you get to the parking lot and it's not plowed.
Coldwatercasualty Feb 11, 2011 Rating: -2
And then you get to the break, and there's no crowd... and it's worth it.
Thorpedo Feb 9, 2011 Rating: -1
the worst part is trying to get warm after. You have a 30second window between getting your wetsuit off and into warm clothes before you freeze in place.

Remember one time when i came home from surf (from extremely freezing session) and was crazy cold... all i dreamed of was hot shower. But surprise! No hot water left in shower. Do i need to say how unhappy i was? :))
chma Feb 10, 2011 Rating: 1
it's the best shower of your life, every time... AFTER your feet painfully thaw...
Tagava Feb 9, 2011 Rating: 1
Is the beach far away from where you live? I live 15 min away from beach so i just drive in my wetsuit and change in nice warm shower. :)

Board...check. Hood...check. Gloves...check. Feet...Aw shit, I lost my feet.

after all the perfection pics on msw of this "cow bay", i really doubt our protagonist pictured above really cares about the foot of snow. great shot.
Tagava Feb 8, 2011 Rating: 2
Why is everyone so afraid of cold and snow? Don't u guys have wetsuits? :) I surf in the same conditions with just 5/3 wetsuit. And it is not cold!

Tequila Sunrise Feb 9, 2011 Rating: 1
Flat as a witches tit here too and also have had a bad summer with sharks. What's with those mudders?
tjo Feb 8, 2011 Rating: 1
Cow bay tartare? Or Bovril style? Nice n' cold either way! Looks fun, we've got no swell and about 1,000,000 sharks less then 100yds from the sand here in Florida.

WOW! That's just what I feel like right now, a break from the heat and humidity of Durban.
FlyingFish Feb 9, 2011 Rating: 1
Ja you right, guess we take it for granted sometimes. I'll get a boardies session for you tomorrow morning bru!
Baboon Barrels Feb 9, 2011 Rating: -1
don't bru, I can't remember what a boardshort surf feels like anymore....
bali_trader Feb 8, 2011 Rating: 2
much respect to you guys out in Nova Scotia. Growing up in Corwall was sometimes hard to get the motivation for a mid winter session. This is a whole different experience im sure. Beautiful shot.
Adam Cornick Feb 8, 2011 Rating: 0
Believe me, I surfed half my life in Cornwall, it's tropical compared to here in winter!
