This surfers timing was just perfect, i was hoping for a shot of him just riding through the sun, but i got lucky and got one better...

Hey, fu*k all this photoshop bullsh*t, it's a nice photograph that inspires stoke in any surfer. Well done and keep 'em comin'.

Thanks everyone for the comments, i really appreciate it. This image most certainly has not been photo shopped, it was taken with one of the higher range point and shoot cameras on full manual, but the settings are obviously not as advanced as a dslr, so my iris blocked out a hella lot of light, so the brightness of the sun has drowned out all other light sources, such as the sun through the water.

This photo just reminds me why I sometimes surf from sunrise to sunset, with only food and water breaks in between, not even taking my wetsuit off once.

Apologies if I'm wrong but this just doesn't look right to me. The spray has very little in the way of highlights for being so close to or in front of the sun which looks "muddy" itself... Has the dreaded Photoshop raised it's ugly head? Even if it has been 'shopped it's still one hell of an image. Well done localislekker cracking effort however you did it.

I am stoked ! Applause for your talent, this wasn't an easy shot ! Bet you were VERY excited when you realized how well you nailed it. This looks like an advert for a kung fu movie, the surfer being a ninja.

The photo is simply stunning, reading the story of how you shot it just managed to make it even better. Wow!
