Nobody in this world knows how badly The eastern seaboard of the united states needs to see something like this. Soon.

the fine line between this wave closing out or holding up is what makes it awesome.the fact is that there is lightning fast, hollow barrel to be ridden here, you won't get the glory, if you don't take the risk.

not all the money, fame and girls in the world could substitute the gracefulness and excitement one feels when about to paddle out into a session like this one...

yeah right, you can drive as long as you have a 4x4 and its not been raining everyday for a week. Fast wave, pretty hard to make the barrell on most of em. Magical place though.

Loved that movie "The Mosquito Coast"...with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren...rrrrrrruff ruff...and she's STILL hot after all these years. The human animals(thieves, commies, evangelists)were the most dangerous ones in THAT story. The End.

Takes 6 hours to walk in with all kit for 4 day stay. No cougars in Central America - only Pumas and Ocelots which are both rare and mostly timid. Lots of sand flies and mosquitoes, and muchos Racoons to eat your food supply when in the water or sleeping.

By foot makes for a better story, and more satisfaction when you get there.

Mikepike Feb 14, 2011 Rating: -1

Use ya feet if you wanna take two weeks to get there, or use a boat from Playa Flamingo and get there in an hour... Also, go by foot and you risk the run with the cougars and lynx etc... I'll take the boat thanks...

Yes Francois, i often see extremely good wave riders point their waveriding craft in the correct direction and balance their weight correctly in said direction in relation to the craft and wave and travel at whatever speed the wave is breaking, defying all of the theories proposed by the physicists of this worlds history. I would like to present humanity with Bouwer's Principle.

If the wave is peeling, no matter how fast, it is not a closeout. If it peels really, really fast, then it also pushes you really, really fast. I bet if you set just the right line you wouldn't even need to race. There is a sweet spot on every wave where you tap into the very hydraulic force that makes that wave break so fast. It's only closing if it is breaking in sections.
