Tequila Sunrise Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 0
eeyore69...a classic. Squirl does have sheep but you must bring your own gum boot and tether for hygiene reasons.
sqirl Mar 10, 2011 Rating: 3
As an Ozzie …..expat yank …..of Welsh decent I am both highly offended and embiggened by your comment! …….So eeyore69, do you want directions to my house or what? ……because if you are thinking about robbing or raping me (I know how you Welshmen role!)……I have two mean ass, blood thirsty, miniature, sausage dogs that will chew your ankles clean off!

where in Oz are u SQUIRL? You must have some empty waves out there,we found loads when we were there in '95/'96 ,just get out of the towns. gotAngourie perfect back beach one morning with just me and my mate, lennox overhead and clean with 6 out, north straddie, winkipop, ulladulla, the wreck all with less than 10 out even got d-bah 3-4' no one else out( just kidding about d-bah) but i guess times change and the sports boomed in the last 20 years. hope u get some, flat here at the moment and about 6 degrees- look on the bright side i guess

by the way a welshman won the recent tow in contest held in house sized waves at Mullaghmore head in Ireland which featured an international line up of world clas tow in surfers.way too cold for aussies whimps, although i think joel fitzgerald was there ( but he's part irish these days)
sqirl Mar 9, 2011 Rating: 2
thanks scragger that thoroughly depressing comment has yanked me right out of a potentially manic state.....you should rename your profile eeyore69
Martin Hughes Mar 9, 2011 Rating: 1
ha ha dont forget 3 million surfers clogging up your breaks. rather be cold and lonely than hot and hassled
sqirl Mar 8, 2011 Rating: 1

Irony sink in water? What about the Titanic? (ZsJ, there it is again. Make the homeland proud.)

Take your point but hard to pull of irony in text format let alone from the boys across the pond

He's 17. His brain won't be fully grown for another 6 years. Give him a break. Anyway, for the kids sake, let me explain that the initial statement was an example of irony. You see, ... damn! He's asleep. Gotta cut back on the fracking soporific lectures.

We all need our heroes. Kelly's Mine yet the unsung heroes are those who catch these moments in time. Stunning shot. Thank You.

Kelly's always crossing the boundaries. This is the new sport of SurfMime. Can you guess what he's miming in this one?
Spongerdudette Mar 4, 2011 Rating: 0

Strange colour fins in the back of the board and close together. Gee whizz so much speed.
Mitchell L. Mar 3, 2011 Rating: -6
kelly slater is always impressive and he's from florida! he does so well because florida is hard to surf because of the way the waves break and that makes other places easier to gain speed on.
Gaynow Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 3
Eeyore...you need to learn the tigger song...."A wonderful thing is a Tigger because a Tigger is a wonderful thing...etc" while bouncing on your coiled tail. Otherwise you will end up like the Grizzly bear hunter who after 3 consecutive attempts at shooting the bear..and being abused by the bear..gets asked by the bear .."You are not really here for the hunting are you?"

...on top of the clean waves we have a broad minded President who condones polygamy (4 wives himself) so we follow his lead and have regular group sex....must also spend time with the 18 Grand Children so I dont have time to surf more than 2 hours per day...
Martin Hughes Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 0
love it!! but if its that good why you on here so much and not out there riding either great waves or bikini clad girls with great " numbies?"? cmon chalkie you can do it!!!
Tequila Sunrise Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 1
....eeyore69...I forgot the crystal clear water and the white sand sea bottom with a few rocks and orange anemones wafting in the current with the clean white beaches and tanned bikini girls with great numbies.

Yes, the old stars and stripes does tend to incite, but j terry's comment was excellent - a reminder to try not to be too voluble. Why, I remember a time in the 80's when - well, it was a warm day, with flowers in bloom - and as I was saying, the ...

Just had a session in glassy 13 second interval clean beach break bombs in magical clear torquoise water and 34c. hmmmm
RadXCor Mar 3, 2011 Rating: -1
Yeah, 90% of the time we have to train on 3 ft mush that breaks in sections. And the times we do get decent swell it's usually blown out or chopped to all hell. But hey, a wave is a wave and I won't complain. It could be worse. Could be land locked.

He's not wrong. Even at size, our east coast swells rarely have the nice long periods of CA or EU swells. When we get up on a wave, decisions have to be made more quickly. It may be my imagination, but I find surfing CA and EU easier and more relaxed. Still, I have a strong imagination, so ...

This is good. The rest of the world always thought that everyting was bigger and better in US. Some surfers are just a cut above the rest. Kelly is the best right now.

I think KS10 has had enough of photogs gettin in his way. He is setting up to chop the block off of this guy
RadXCor Mar 3, 2011 Rating: 2
I'm proud to be an east coast surfer but knowing the best of the best comes from my own state... Just brings a tear to my eye. =D

For all those haters, that want the Master-Slater out, here is a good reason why he must continue to be the legend of the sport, he is F-good
doobie mcshitlips Mar 3, 2011 Rating: 8
he's holding a mirror so slater can watch himself surf and instantly improve his style. he's been doing it for years.
7 Mar 3, 2011 Rating: 3
Cameras in the front and back, too, so is this guy snapping a pic of KS, or himself? We may never know. I may never care.
