I guess Mexico's got the best beach breaks in the world, and I'm not talking just about Puerto, there's plenty of them.
Vaca Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 5
the guy on the beach is saying "ohh shit, he´s fu"&$/cked!"
luke sullivan Mar 13, 2011 Rating: -2
yeah he's just realised how badly he's blown it after being designated photographer for this session after he tweaked his ankle in the previous session(before the swell jacked-up) and he's been distracted shooting bums in g-strings all day on the beach and flattened the battery in the camera before this wave of the day came in for his mate!!this is his walk of shame!

jon terry Mar 12, 2011 Rating: 1
Or his trip has been 2ft for 4 weeks and he is getting a plane home later, this was his last look at the break.
sn0wsurfer Mar 10, 2011 Rating: -1
Complete close out, try and go straight and risk getting on your head or stay deep and hope it doesn't bury you?
brian wu Mar 10, 2011 Rating: 0
Yeah fo4 sure buz. I can tell you from personal experience that either way youll end up the guy on right. board gone, and hand to head with mega headache.
Harv Mar 10, 2011 Rating: 0
Q to those who have ridden this: is it heavier than say big France & SA beachbreaks? Looks like it gets way way bigger, very round and impossible paddle to get out the back?
Platinumfinz Mar 14, 2011 Rating: 1
...very round and impossible paddle to get out the back? I'd say it would be a rush trying to get out, the worry would be, how to get back in!
jon terry Mar 12, 2011 Rating: -1
An American surfer I met in Hossegor told me he surfed this place with Cassey Higgdon alot and on a big day sometimes the only way back is a 45 minute paddle to a harbour is that right?
Harv Mar 11, 2011 Rating: 0
Awesome -1, cheers. Do the job properly tho you fannys. Go for like -100. Do it.
ryancurtin Mar 11, 2011 Rating: -1
I've lived in PE, Mex and CT, ZA and I'd have to say that Puerto is far heavier than any of the CT beach breaks I've surfed (Llududno, The Hoek). There is one particular beach break in CT that I never surfed (sharks!) that is likely quite comparable. Also, there are some hectic reefs in ZA that are as heavy as Puerto, but for different reasons.
Twaan Mar 10, 2011 Rating: 0
Its a very hard/heavy breaking wave. It doesn't break very far out though, so considering the size it gets the paddle out isn't as hectic as you would think. All said, its not called Mex Pipe for nothing...
