if the north east UK got 15-20 second interval swell there's three or four places i think would end up looking like this! meanwhile, back to insane jealousy.

I was there during that swell. It was fun for a few hours until it dropped to waist and 50 people showed up. This is the end of the wave but the other two points weren't really doing anything either. This is one of my favorite waves that I visit frequently but not that day. I would recommend catching a 8ft swell in the middle of February where your guaranteed to have it all to yourself. I Immediately left and went to Huanchaco and surfed it with one other person (over head, no drift :)

This is the end of the wave ...... these guys are just waiting for the water-taxi to take 'em the half mile back out to the take-off, which is 6ft and pumping !

that set up should be called a " quiff ". A perfect quiffence !!

It's what I always hoped a wave machine would be able to generate one day. Funny how nature kicks our arses at the 'simplest' things....

I might have to mirror this in Photoshop to make it more appealing (regular foot). Regardless, incredible shot mate!

The seven dwarves, if you count the little reform. They must know there are some bombs on the way though

Yes, even world-class point breaks have their flat days. The times I've been there in June-September (Southern-Hemi winter), I've fortunately never seen Chicama flat. If it is too small for your likes, bigger waves can be found one hour north or south. Sweet dreams.

No takers because if you look at the surfers at the top of the point i would say its no bigger than 1-2ft. Looks pretty small and gutless to me!
The Kookoo May 18, 2011 Rating: 1
I dont know about gutless - theres shape there: wouldnt be too bad on a log I reckon
southFLsurfer May 18, 2011 Rating: 1

SMOOCHOW May 20, 2011 Rating: 0

I think one just arrived and gave me a negative rating.Dunno about it really being a secret spot though? There's loads more spots nearby that I'd class as secret
The Man With No Name May 18, 2011 Rating: -3
Exactly my thoughts....(meanwhile preparing for the secret spot police to arrive)

Anybody want to see a photo of 4 very stubborn regular footers wishing they had gone to Anchor point?
mickosmokomoko May 18, 2011 Rating: -3

wave-os May 18, 2011 Rating: -2
I'm having a visual orgasm with this picture. There is a God. Too bad for the four clowns waiting in the wrong spot.
Inglorious Landlocked Basterd May 18, 2011 Rating: 1
Austin is also a clown, apparently a jealous clown.
Younes May 18, 2011 Rating: 8
I didn't know Austin Powers could surf... As for the four clowns having it for themselves only, who travelled countless miles, then drove thousands Km on dust roads, to spend a few nights in their tents in this remote place, they're probably waiting for a bigger set... Do you know what's a set Austin?

luke sullivan May 20, 2011 Rating: -2
haha Younss'sss''ss is right ...I got fairly lynched for a slightly crooked horizon once but I learnt to better myself and conform to the norm and now I'm going straight and I seen the light too!(nice lineup too, regardless of the size.)
