So much more intimidating when you're the only one out.

Loberia, or place of the sea wolves. I just surfed there this past March and the place is stunning!

That isn't actually a surfer in the water but is in fact a naval mine. To see what you can do with a naval mine if you're lucky enough to find one, have a look at http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/10/steampunk-worthy-furniture-naval-mines-mati-karmin.php

Perhaps Charles Darwin saw this with a bodysurfer, then a booger, then a surfer and finally an SUP and was inspired to write the evolution of the species?* *This comment in no way reflects any kind of degrogatory view towards alternative methods of wave riding. I'm merely basing this on a laying down to standing up process and the association of the Galapagos with the theory of evolution.

yeah that does happen. you have to learn the art of dropping in on those guys. watching them cruise all the sets can ruin a session. survival of the fittest, i guess, is my point

Damn the food chain, Soutie. Why can't brain sucking zombies and unicorns and winged fairies all live in peace ... er, wait ... what the hell were we talking about?

soutie's avatar

soutie Jun 18, 2011 Rating: 1

yeah well 7, thats the ol circle of life ..... the food chain. they are the predators, circling circling. either you put your self in an environment hostile to them if you can (hollow / pumping) or you take the scraps. the only consolation is that the longboarders have been turned from hunter into hunted. LORD strike that poor boy down.

SUP may be a dead end, but meanwhile they take more than their share of resources. Ever had the experience of waiting for 10 minutes at a spot for just that right set, and some SUPer spots it too and paddles a couple hundred yards along the beach and outside your location so he can snake the wave? Gob snaggin' frack headed snot buckets! (Oh, did I say that out loud?)

"finally SUP", of course part of evolution is dead-ends, and some go on for years before dying out.

Too late: I take great offense that your statement assumes the world and all its species did not come into being when the Great Nose sneezed. You'll be hearing from our solicitor.
