That is true...But sharp focus isn't everything is it?...There's good composition, nice choice of subject matter, pleasing color and light/shade contrasts...And 3 out of 4 ain't bad!...Think of it as art. Pointilist art maybe...

I guess a jerky motion could have caused the slight lack of focus here...especially with a telephoto lens...Maybe the photog was only using one hand at the time...=^0

Just imagine how conflicted the photog must have been in that very brief moment in time...'It'...or Slater gettin' barreled...So he must've focused somewhere in between...and got both...with some fuzziness...but not a lot...That's what I'd say. Hey...you've seen a lot worse on the front page...Don't say you haven't!
