OMG!! ive had to look at this wave again ...for a second time,and it doesnt get any better.....!now im gonna have nightmares again!...... But......... i would love to see a guy in a canoe take this puppy on.........without a paddle.....O r put it like this, if you went out on this day at this break u would be...."UP SHIT CREAK IN A BARB WIRE CANOE , WITHOUT A PADDLE...you feelin me?......Be surprised if theres any reef left after this wave pounds down on it!

I'd love to know how big it is. It's difficult to say with out any reference points between camera and wave. I think the most frightening aspect of this wave is the 2 bigger waves looming out back

hey every1 thanks again for the comments, some entertainment reading them, to answer a few questions, no it's not trick photograpahy, it's no where near Aileens but is 100% Irish, no 1 has surfed it yet but will be 1 day and it is makeable...JUST!!! Keep an eye on the website in the next year cheers

There is only 1 wave in that shot. Its what happens when you go from very deep onto a shallow slab. If you check out some shots of teahupoo you will see a very simular setup on the double lip. As for surfing this wave it would be only manageable really with tow in. Paddle in you wouldnt have a chance due to a quick drop. Even if you made it you would be so deep with nowhere to go.
