T-bird Feb 4, 2009 Rating: -1
I'd give it a go, how hard can it be, sitting on a boat in the channel? Too easy. Not sure about those hellmen at the peak though!!
morhaw Dec 22, 2008 Rating: 0
they've probably moved north, global warming making mav's too hot for them
sqirl Dec 22, 2008 Rating: 17
That boat has been sitting there for a week now and still no shark!
truerick Dec 21, 2008 Rating: -3
this is a great shot, looks like an amazing day to be out. why so many got to get on here and whine about etiquette and all that shat when they see more than one bro on a wave. these guys are rippin down the face at mavs on a big day, you think they dont know what you whining asses know about etiquette. every tourist kook knows that shit, you can learn that shit from the pamphlet they give you with your first 10' foamboard rental so shut up about it and enjoy the pics. your just fools who think that by bitching about something you let us all know how brilliant you are. nobody wants to ride with a cranky biotch.

d-peoples-elbow Dec 21, 2008 Rating: -3
didn't jeff clark surf this place on his own for so long because nobody had the hardware between the legs to surf it with him?.. bet he surfed it days like this on his own and would have been only too happy to have people dropping in and sharing the same rush he was getting, not as if theres not enough space for two on the face, bout half the size of a football field and that can take 22 without too much hassle!!
Ballzack69 Dec 21, 2008 Rating: 19
Does anyone bodyboard there?
road dog Dec 20, 2008 Rating: 7
amazing shot. the light on the face is pretty awesome. good timing all round.
rastarocket11 Dec 20, 2008 Rating: 2
quick fyi, three people ended up going on this wave, the deepest guy got powned, the two guys further on the shoulder made it. there was 45 guys out, it's sort of like jumping off a cliff at that point, if you're in the spot you have to go or you're done
reject Dec 20, 2008 Rating: 3
rules or no rules...if sum1 dropd in on me i'd b pissed off, all for a family wave amongst friends but if some shoulder hopping wang dropped in on me and expects a high 5...i'd give him 5 alright...both high and low.... but high 5's aside ye all keen on guys snaking me when i've made the extra effort and taken the extra risk to paddle in deeper. I'd prob smile if he/she got in my way, or hey why not let them cut my line off so that i got lipped or closed out....i mean life is nothing without death! so blue stop hazing and fade out like a no wall shoulders that u like ride
bluehaze Dec 20, 2008 Rating: 3
Hey Joskin Redneck,, waves this big normal rules are out the window... theres plenty of room for 2 or more to paddle for the same wave and a high probability that 50% or more of those that get in under the lip won't make the drop. The guy on the shoulder isn't some "w...r"dropping in, he/she is a genuine hell charger and gets as much respect from the guy on the peak as he/she should from the rest of us. In the end if they do both make it they'll be hi-fiving each other, not giving each other sh*t... so get a life, get out there and start sharing some waves bro. You might find you enjoy your experrience in the water a bit more, and those around you ertainly will

bazza Dec 20, 2008 Rating: -1
i got towed in here by a shark on a 5 9 fish back in 69. no wetsuit. no jetski, back in 1969........ men were men.....
*azza* Dec 19, 2008 Rating: -2
lush wave, way to big and gnarly to be challenged with my standards.
Joskin mewn y fferm Dec 19, 2008 Rating: -9
take a close look at who it is taking off on the peak! some W£nk%r is trying to drop in on them on the shoulder. etiquette, where? youd think it would b at Mavericks if anywhere
reject Dec 18, 2008 Rating: 4

They are obviously fishing for great whites...using broken surfers for chum!
morhaw Dec 17, 2008 Rating: 1
you can see from how the wave is sucking that the boat is when in the channel and safe from anything but the sets that swing wide
JenJen Dec 17, 2008 Rating: 16
Can you be blind and still have a boater's license? Cuz those people on the boat don't seem to know whats coming to them
Vini Dec 17, 2008 Rating: 0
Alright....i know how it is going to break down.......how is it supose to feel after you finish the ride on a wave like that???.......Super Man?? Just one more wave??...The question remains!!!
