surf like me Jul 3, 2009 Rating: 0
FUCK ME! I live at Saunton all my life, never seen such perfection, not to the point of you can see the lines in the distance.. :O Thats special!
Shorey Jan 10, 2009 Rating: 16
Aw no man, you cant do that to me, like a knife through the heart that is. i told my mom and everything, she was so proud of me.
Shorey Jan 10, 2009 Rating: -3
That is exactly what I do pretty much every day when I am not at work. "Bum bandits", good one man, you really hurt my feelings, I think I might cry.
kywithay Jan 10, 2009 Rating: -2
shorey and sqirl sitting in a tree k i s s i n g you bum bandits go catch some surf its only a photo
KILGORE Jan 10, 2009 Rating: -2
Don't push it shorey, you were doing so well. Not knowing to quit while your ahead , I'm shore there a diagnosis ( label ) for that ? I'll get back to you! Thanks
Shorey Jan 10, 2009 Rating: -2
You got me there it is only 5 inches AROUND. The only thing that bothers me is finding rubbers that fit dammit.
wooldog Jan 10, 2009 Rating: 0
Theres something about swell lines that begs me to grab the nearest thing and stroke it.I will say this once for you the beginner to this sport buy yourself a big pig of a board fat and chunky learn the movement of the ocean learn to feel the wave no talk is needed style is key.people dont need to know you are a surfer its not cool its what we do
sqirl Jan 9, 2009 Rating: -1
I am doing some calculations here and if it does drag on the floor that would make you.....5 inches tall (12.7 cm for the rest of the world). Do the splinters and scrapes ever bother you?
harveywallbanger Jan 9, 2009 Rating: -1
actually Soutie, Shorey already took this one if you look further down you clown, and once its been given it has to be extremely funny to warrant re-awarding to someone else (again) you clown... but youre right, he is a different beast this year.
Meunchkkleeerrr III Jan 9, 2009 Rating: 1
yo samo, it was the easiest paddle out ever, once you got past breaking wave - it broke in same place, only took a couple a minutes!! jsut frustrating as the waves were fatter than they looked, wish id had a longboard!
soutie Jan 9, 2009 Rating: -4
shorey takes this one. kudos. has come out with style in the new year. hold me back hold me back, i'm a tiger when i'm loose. watch out i'll surround you.
Shorey Jan 9, 2009 Rating: 0
Dont lie squirl you copy and pasted an actual size pic of your beans and frank onto the picture thus making the squirrels goods seem smaller.
sqirl Jan 8, 2009 Rating: 0
He was born that way that is my son! His mom is pictured on my profile taking a sip of cola. She is one smokin' hot rodent. I know its wrong but we are in love dammit!
soutie Jan 8, 2009 Rating: 69
squirl, did you trawl fetish porn sites for a close up of a distended scrotum, which you then meticulously and painstakingly stuck onto a picture of a cute rodent. hahaha. bet you had sweaty palms you sick puppy.
extremely clever bloke Jan 8, 2009 Rating: 13
Is that for real, or just a pair of chords under a microscope? There's like a million waves in that set! You'd be bummed if you went for the first wave and got caned and got caught inside. You'd be duckdiving for eternity. See, there's nobody out. They're all waiting for a lull to get out back - the lull that would never happen. Ever.
sqirl Jan 8, 2009 Rating: 1
Oh yeah and your right harvey, shorey does take it....up his pecker dragging bum! congratulations shorey...on taking it.
Meunchkkleeerrr III Jan 8, 2009 Rating: 1
yep vince, this evening it was 4 foot max, the next morning croyde and Saunts were both pumping at 5, maybe 6 on sets, croyde was spitting at 4 at low tide on sunday too....was jsut an awesome weekend!
surfer 91 Jan 7, 2009 Rating: 2
after seeing that i think you would cry if you had to get out. what more could you ask for
Drew Peacock Jan 7, 2009 Rating: 1
I had the flu that day but just sat in my car and sweated it out, looking at that. It wasn't that big until late afternoon but that morning it had to be the most perfect swell I'v seen. I don't think I saw a single wave so much as section let alone close out anywhere along the coast that morning. And the sunshine, oh man don't get me started. If you could be in a bubble and not feel the ridiculous icy temperature then you'd have to admit january sunshine is by far the most beautiful of the entire year.
Boneless Chuck Jan 7, 2009 Rating: 12
a line or 2? forget that you know you can take thoselines all day without overdosing right? I'll take those lines all day thank you. just makes me want to paddle out. I'ts been flat here for over a week now and nothing on the horizon man, iwere hurting down here in florida.
PSALM 77:19 Jan 6, 2009 Rating: 1
That is exactly how it looks here where I surf ,.........right before I wake up
Vince Noir Jan 6, 2009 Rating: -1
For all those asking how big it was : I got in 7:30 am at Saunton and it was about thigh..we checked croyde and it looked flat ( big lulls in sets)...set pulsed through and from then on the swell just grew and grew Beach and point were both completly firing...had the point with a mate at 4:00ish to ourselves :) Come Sunday morning it was supposedly double overhead on clean up sets at croyde...
Suckyripfuked Jan 6, 2009 Rating: -1
That is the most awesome picture I have ever seen. Im going to sue my landlord for making me move out on that day.
Benny boy Jan 5, 2009 Rating: 1

Youngstu Jan 5, 2009 Rating: 15
Thanks for the comments guys and girls. Unfortunately I didn't get in on Saturday, had to take my son for a walk..... the first of many photographic walks. The lines and light were beautiful, I'd been at Croyde before and this was just from the layby on the way home. Saunton was fun if freezing on Sunday.

d-peoples-elbow Jan 5, 2009 Rating: -2
kinda like somebody dropped a a monster rock in the ocean just outta frame. savage shot
*azza* Jan 5, 2009 Rating: -3
great pic. theres no word to describe how sick these sets are. anyone know the size of these waves. big up 2009, hopefully more of this and it will have everyone pleased.
bigman Jan 5, 2009 Rating: -1
By 4 o'clock the wave period was so long that you could cut out of a wave, paddle like a madman back out and catch the very next wave in the set.....or alternatively you could chill yer boots and think about the countless other waves about to reach the shore. Saunton was a bit fat though...so took a 10'2" out and cruised everything!
Meunchkkleeerrr III Jan 5, 2009 Rating: 0
me & pal surfed saunton at exactly this time, it didnt get bigger than 4, the sets were solid 4, so these are probly 3-4, we got in at 3;30 and surfed till 5, but i was on my fish and they were fatter than they look, so was bloody hard work getting into it. Puts was 3 ish and crodye 4+ same day.
Duckdive Jan 5, 2009 Rating: -3
Lush lines. Haven't seen it like that for a while. Knew it was good on Saturday but not ruler edge good. Fingers crossed for next weekend. Thanks for submitting the shot, really makes me optimistic for the surf in 2009 wooo!
harveylegend Jan 5, 2009 Rating: 3
