drinking and hangovers are a young mans thing. got to sow the wild oats i say, but after, say 35, it starts to get sad.

that is funny, i would have taken you for a gay whiskey and gin and tonic man.

mantis Jan 13, 2009 Rating: 25

well, if I may add, I spent many mornings in the water to help out with the hangover(Im a beer, straight whisky and gin n tonic man ). surfing in the morning aids tremendously if you have a hangover. the blood pumping, cool water, adrenaline, etc works physically and mentally. I hope that counts as a surf related issue.

i'm with squrl on this one. my days of being a beer monster have ended cos i can drink to much of the god damn stuff. now a wee single malt is what i'm talking about, it'll numb the pain of a gash from one of those nasties sticking out of the water

The best shot of this spot yet...sick pit!!! Beer sucks...man up and drink some liquor you wusses. All that cold water you would think every brit would have a post session nip of beefeater waiting for them in the car. Ahhhhh.....that sure warms the cockles.

This pic is sick so critical I bet he makes it too, you have to. I bet the rest of you guys don't even surf talking about beer on a shot like this what a bunch of lame asses.

KJ I used to have the odd jar, but as i get into my oldage i find that i am having too much trouble getting up for dawnies afterwards; it was the surf or the drink and as my dad always used to say; don't drink unless you can afford to...and now the alcipops usually take a swerve. Nevertheless I stand by the fact that discussing beer is really dull!! :D

It is not beer but ale that is has at room temp. They are slightly different, same effect though both make you act like a toss and dance like a baboon.

yes, I tend to agree with you kiwi. we have the worst beer in my opinion. bass is a big favorite of mine. and I have spent a lot of time in N.Z. and yes they do have some tasty brews there. Much better than here in Aus. Ironically, we here in Australia drink more beer per ca pita than any other country according to some statistics. Belgium is second. In fact its quite normal to see the dudes cracking the tops of a coldee after a surf at 9 in the morn.

if you want a fuckin good lager in your neck of the woods....pop across to NZ for a DB Export Dry.....my favourite ever!

A good night out on Directors, Bass or the Black Sheep to name a few will prove to you it doesn't need to be cold. (as for your lagers, Fosters and XXXX are absolute Pissh....VB and Toohey's are ok)

ALL RIGHT ENGLAND! here I was thinking england only had mushy little waves, bad teeth, good beer and ugly chicks. maybe I am wrong about the others. except the beer. I know there is good beer in england. but why do they drink it at room temp? whats up with that? maybe bcs its a cold climate. but alot of europe have a cold climate. do the krauts drink luke warm beer?
