P.S. Message for “bobbles”: I have no plans to remove your comment even though it has attracted some negative feedback, last I checked it is a free county and you can say what you like, and I recommend you do while you can before the thought police turn this country into a very scary place. But if you are expecting Gwithian/Godrevy to magically transform itself into a secret spot overnight just because people stop tagging photos of it you need to take a good long look at your life fella. It is recommended by pretty much every surf report site as a decent place to go for a wave and there are several surf schools located close by. It is also sandwiched between two large and popular car parks with decent cafes, it has miles and miles of flat golden sand, huge sandy dunes at one end and a National Trust site at the other, it has a zillion holiday parks next to it, a national coastal path traversing it, and you only have to google “surf” and “cornwall” and you’ll get a shed load of hits for it. It’s almost the very definition of a secret surf spot isn’t it? Carslberg don’t do Secret Surf Spots, but if they did they’d probably be the best Secret Surf Spots in the world! No offence mate but I recommend you search Google Earth and discover a nice quiet break for you and that chip on your shoulder. I’m only messing with you! PS happy birthday for the other day, glad you had a good surf.

Alright forum chimps. Just to set the record straight on the authenticity of this image. The date may be off by a day or two but it was definitely that week. I am a gentleman and a squire and can be trusted to label wave porn correctly for your viewing pleasure. Considering the amount of honesty on display in these forums I’m surprised anyone questions the veracity of my account. I refer of course to MrNelz and his “small winky” problem. Kudos for your candour MrNelz, we salute you. It seems to be a common affliction in deep winter my friend, although perhaps I’m being too honest to concede I have this problem in the summer time too! Maybe its an evolutionary thing, cats have retractable claws to protect them don’t they? Errr anyway…. Glad most people liked the photo, she sure was a purdy looking wave. I think Mother Nature has to take the credit though, she pulled out all the stops for that one, it even made it into the top shots “msw our pick” section. High praise indeed.

Has anyone ever tried stuffing some hand warmers down there? (Those things you stick in your gloves when skiing) If so, please post results.

Yep defo this week I was in and it was perfect if it wasn't for the gaps between the sets and the size of my winky afterwards. Does anyone make a wetsuit willy warmer?

I am also suprised by the quality of surf in the photos from england... For the longest time I thought all they did in England was drink tea and play with swords, maybe kick a ball around for a little.

England surf photos on this site are really beginning to blow my mind! I had no idea there was such great surf in her majesty's kingdom. Makes me think that the photos are hijacked from Indo locations...lol.
