Often, it would seem. But it was a lot heavier than it looked, and was breaking literally on to the sand there. Check my other photos to see how it was breaking slightly further down the beach!

You're right, it was starting to thaw out a bit when I took this but still an incredible view over the dunes. The previous day we had 1 inch of snow right up to the water's edge! Getting changed was a bit tricky...
