I have a couple of german mates down here. actually they are dudes that sit at the same table or row of stools at the pub when I used to go evryday after work as people do down here. one is in his 40s and dosent like ze var being mentioned. the other is in his 80s and says hitler was in the right. we let him (80s dude) waffle on bcs at that age it doesnt really matter bcs soon he will be dead. so I will keep your advice in mind about not mentioning ze var and ze fuerer
i had a german mate with a swastika on his board, cause the lads kept calling him nazi. part of the crack. he rammed a few yakkers in his time with that board too. classic
You make a fine case there Mantis but I would rather not suck your wienerschnitzel!!!! I am not fully aware of the term surf nazi as being that mainstream,well not in Europe anyway. I'm not sure how the germans would take to the term surf nazi so I would not even consider using it. Anyway take it easy fella. I am all up for hardcore surfing and even enjoyed a session the other day with noone out and it was freezing cold,reportedly the coldest day of the year here. Its a great feeling tearing along one of those frosty waves, making sure to avoid the holddowns is paramount though!!! btw Seinfeld rocks!!!

I use the term in the hard-corp sense. it is an old term. surfing in the 80's in so.cal., we used it to describe the relentless dawn patrol dudes that went surfing every morning even in winter at 5:30 am. I think the term came from ventura. It has nothing to do with cooking jews or political believes. one of the most popular episodes of seinfeld voted by the viewers is the soup nazi episode. it had nothing to do with auswitch. the soup guy was hard-corp and would'nt serve elaine. so to sumerize, you can give simple words as much power as you wish. helter skelter was taken by manson during his killing spree yet bono said lets take it back bcs originally it was a beatles song. so open your minds and open your mouths and suck my co*ck
Reminds me of a recent situation here where a German was in Court accused of buggering a cat and had no translator. The judge asked the jury if any of them spoke German. A small drunken looking Glaswegian stood up and approached the acccused. 'Ask him where he was last night' said the Judge. 'Vere ver you der other night' said the translator.

@fhflipper: I lived in Rostock for one year and agree with you, that the ferrywaves can be the best in the baltic sea! But I have only seen it once glassy with a headhigh barrel, breaking for about 75 meters. Have heard a story about that wave breaking like this but did not believe it.
But it is to rare that i consider other spots better...
Good to see dedication like that, but I can't help thinking he looks like a campaign poster for no smoking, or possible the Judder man from the old alcopop commercials think it was sub-zero. Fucking surfing in Germany eh ! who would have thought, well Marlon Lipke for a start.
