That's me! To be honest all it was doing was surging over the reef. Things I noticed are that it's bloodly shallow, the water was sucking about 2 foot below the sandbags on take off. The take off zone is the size of a small car, with water 15 foot deep one side and 3 foot deep the other. The rip was insane, even with no surf you struggled to stay in the take off zone, and to top it off it's infested with massive Spider crabs (so call the reef Spyders!) I can only see it as a sick body boarding wave, pretty ledgy for the rest of us. But we will wait and see. Cheers Joe

Hardly worth getting excited about now is it?. Let's face it even when it is finished the channel hardly gets any swell and when it does we all know where else to go and it won't be Boscombe with the kooks!. But at least we will know where they all will be.
