the pods live near there and will head in and out the river daily. you can wait for them and you'll be pretty much guaranteed to get a glimpse. rad pic!

The last surf I had in OZ, on my last trip, there was a school of dolphins out there, so magical and they just hung around for ages playing. A young grom paddled out, not knowing there were dolphins, I was about 10 foot from him, a fin popped up beside him and he started screaming like a banshee! I was shouting over and over “it’s ok, it’s a dolphin†until he calmed down. The line up was packed with his mates, we all cracked up – one of the funniest things ever.
