Great pic Lusitano!...But the suspense is killing me. Maybe if that right arm didn't look like a bird's broken wing...I could imagine him having the forward speed to 'fly' through that gnarly, hollow section like my heart wants him to...and emerge at the end victorious and unscathed. But my head(critical observations & experiences)tells me he's gonna get hammered. What DID happen here? Did he make it?

Whewwww...Thanks for that, I think. Trying to imagine Spicoli reciting 'The Bard'...but I guess the real surf pros are more Renaissance men than he was. Might be a good source of inspiration for comments for awhile...or maybe not.

Hey Lusitano...You didn't see that Shakespeare/Julius Caesar quote on someone's t-shirt in one of the "Jackass..." movies did you?...Because you will REALLY be raising the bar for the rest of us if you did not!=0 Just Kidding weeders.

Younss...I remember reading one or two of your comments in the past year or so where you mentioned that English is not your first language. You communicate in English text so well I would never have guessed that. Seriously! I've made attempts to learn German and Spanish in my early years but lacked the motivation, commitment and patience(using only books & audiotapes)to succeed. I'm sure immersion in another country's language and culture would have helped...especially when really young...children seem to absorb new knowledge effortlessly...they're like sponges. I grew up close to Miami, but not close enough for the Hispanic immersion experience one can(& will!)get there now. I really envy and respect people like yourself who can communicate so effectively and smoothly in more than one language. How & when did you learn to do it?

Thank you Younss(that helps with my cricket problem). And that being Pipeline, you also know what lies below. But you seem a little unsure about the gladiator bit & meaning. Let me explain(everyone groans)...The "he ate it" is our 'normal' universal surfer lingo duuuude. Lusitano's 'quote' about honor and death is Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar'...implying that going for glory is worth the serious risks involved(like death). Caesar was a Roman soldier/general...thus the gladiator reference(I think). Remember that great Russell Crowe movie "Gladiator"? Good times, ehhh!

Lol!!! Nah I got your point... But when Lusitano says "he ate it", I guess it's the wave who rather destroyed him on a razor sharp reef covered by 2 feet of water max...

Excellent answer Lusitano. A very dramatic & theatrical reference there(I had to Google it)! Thank you. I can sleep now that I have closure. Guess this nips the whole pic naming game/thread in the bud(sigh). Younss...the 'bird' reference was where I said his right arm looked like a bird's broken wing. When you said Hitchcockian...I thought you were picking up on "The Birds" and I...oh nevermind...no one understands me, sniff, not even Spongegirl, sniff...I might as well be...Mantis!

Yeah! That one would be "The Lodger" or "Dial B (instead of M) for Backdoor (instead of Murder)"... And by the way, where have you seen a bird??

Haha...Younss, I think I get your Hitchcockian connections there; bird, suspense, B&W pic. We should use old Hitchcock movie titles, alter the wording a bit...and give THIS pic a title...while we're waiting for Lusitano to end the suspense. Like this: "The 39 Steps" = The 39 Stitches
