So apparently the jet skis were necesary that day, fair enough, but for the sake of an otherwise beAuTIFul shot, couldn't someone have taken the time to photoshop those retched machines outta there.

Well I was uncharacteristically (cough) insensitive with that comment...don't blame him for taking it badly and retaliating like a touchy sponger. Sorry Dope2...didn't mean to offend you.
Gaynow Mar 27, 2011 Rating: 1
That is what I thought but dope2hope and the mejuts think that it is grainy. I must however be careful because he seems touchy.

Only a Surfer knows The Feelin."Cliche i know but this photo has it all."
Andrew Deming Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 3
Sick shot! Levels adjustments on surfer have caused a lot of grain in the image though.

Rebellious butt pirate? Gargle Roger till he's Jolly? I embellished a little bit for effect.

Gaynow Mar 28, 2011 Rating: 1
Yes Kola Nuts...the original big DICKdragger...I like that name..it gives boogieboarding a rebellious pirate feel...and I get to joggly Roger ;) you are sweet too. NOT.
aquabumps.com Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 0
Had to make a lot of adjustments to the image as there was so much mist around, from waves slapping on the rocks, which gave it some noise....
Tequila Sunrise Mar 25, 2011 Rating: -2
Chill Dope2 ...the shot was at Soutie...we go back a few days...we love the same Betty Bum.
Andrew Deming Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 1
Don't know who that is. I said it was a sick shot. I'm sure you are an expert on anal. There is a difference between a friendly observation and taking a shot a someone.

luke sullivan Mar 29, 2011 Rating: -2

Tequila Sunrise Mar 26, 2011 Rating: 1
That's a fact...it's not always size that provides the WOW factor...I told her...
Steve Ware Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 0
After seeing the other waves this looks more flukish than perfect. Nice lighting though.
aquabumps.com Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 4
Oh you guys are funny. This wave is one of the smallest of the whole day. Sets were TOTALLY not paddle in-able (grammar?). basically this wabve is scraps. If you want to see what the rest of the day mainly looked like - click on this link http://bit.ly/fsTX01

Er..."The phenomenon of wave shape, light etc all come together to form a synergistic beauty that can only really be 'experienced' at a particular moment in time." So really what you're saying is that this photo is not phenomenal at all, as it is merely a depiction of a historic, unique event from a particular place and point in time?
Papa Chambo Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 2
'Phenomenal' is very relevant term for a wave photo like this. The phenomenon of wave shape, light etc all come together to form a synergistic beauty that can only really be 'experienced' at a particular moment in time. It is through our 'experience' of things that they come to mean something to us, something that cannot be quantified or measured in any other way using Cartesian methodology ie; known things based on mathematical or scientific based research. This is why surfers are often easy going and thoughtful people. It is quite extraordinary how much of the western worlds idea of progress is based more on 'structured' knowledge, thought and research, than the phenomenology of 'being' in the world. Thanks.
casual observer Mar 25, 2011 Rating: 4
it would have been more perfect if there weren't two jet ski's sat around in the middle of a totally paddle - able line up....
greg77 Mar 25, 2011 Rating: -7
Wow, cool comment, I don't understand it completely, I think I get the gist of it though and I fell cleverer for reading it.
