This wave really is incredible. We run a budget tour company down here in Chile that does regular trips to Punta de Lobos from Santiago. Check us out a www.surfskiclimbchile.com

Ok never been there, but I have done some looking on google and that rock out crop is about 45m wide from the angle viewed. That make those faces at least 8m not alowing for perspective. No idea what lens this was taken on but would still say allowing for perspetive that those faces are 10 to 15m or 33 to 48ft, which is big o big. Great photo graph and I'll take a rain cheque on the paddle out.

You jump off the rocks rather than paddling out. Although it can be pretty scary when big. The plan is, hide behind the big rock to the left until it looks clear, then run in front of said rock and jump off the left hand side. Don't time it wrong though ;) It looks about 20 ft to me, but would get smaller down the point.

If you check out the people on the left on top of the cliff it makes it seem a lot smaller because I was looking the tree below them and thinking they were 10ft high trees but they're only 2-3 foot high trees when you compare them to the people sitting on top of the cliff. So I'd say the wave is probably 15-20ft. Also, they was he took the shot (being a pro photographer) with a telephoto lens makes everything converge like that making it seem bigger than what it is. They do the same thing in movies during car chases to make it seem like they almost hit something but it's really a safe distance. Just my opinion. Nice shot!

This wave was my first international surf trip. I damn near shit my pants when we finally made it to the point. Cold, massive, practically empty... I fell in love with Chile. I can't wait to make it back there some day.

They must have meant seven meters. That's kind of like yards I think, but it's Southern Hemi so everything is inverted and now I'm really confused. There wasn't supposed to be any math.

Don't know about about feet, inches and all that, but easy triple overhead, and makes me wanna have a poo. Great shot. The fact that the shot is taken so far away, and the cliffs give it perspective, just makes me wanna have a big scary poo.
