I'm an east coast Aussie and have lived in bloody Japan for a decade. I have only surfed waves like this three or four times here, but they appear three or four times a month on the east coast of Oz. Where's my damn ruby slippers???

Nah it's NOT Av , looks more like Whale Bch or a strange angle of Palmy ,but i deffinitly don't reckon it's Avalon . Could even be Avoca or one of the other Central Coast southern headlands

Great looking wave but it's not South Avalon. Not sure where it is but someone out there should know from headland & houses.

Lived in Avalon for 6months back in 2004-2005. Had a swell like this hit one morning that six of us were about to spend a week slowly making our way to Byron bay. Followed the swell for 5days. Surfed Celito, Crescent head, Blueys and a couple other spots with the final day scoring well over head Lennox with only a handfull out for sunset. Been to many countries on surf missions but this one will be hard to beat. Great waves, great company and beautiful surroundings.

yeah it's south Av in front of the pool.. surely north Av was pumping during that magic swell? never made it up, Manly was all time for 3 days.

Is this little Av or a "super-bank" further toward the swimming pool? Doesn;t look ledgey enough for L.A but sick nonetheless! 5star all the way!
