I like it too. I am of the school of thought to crop any unnecessary information. That said I feel cropping the sky and foreground a little will make the photo more dynamic. my 2 bits...

What can people find wrong with this picture? Clever how photographer has caught the evening light on the subject, but also how this is not a flashy, barrelling picture of an over-sponsored corporate sell-out on a glassy cliché advertising a secret surf camp, but someone out to enjoy an ordinary, undistinguished wave. Undemonstrative, unflashy and kind of cool. Good pic.

Right on Buffer, well said. It doesn't matter what you ride (the guy in the photo, Brett Caller, rides everything and rips) just enjoy it. And the photo, while not epic, captures a talented surfer in regular waves. Hard to get angry about such an image, really.
