This is what happens on any crowded break, I have surfed this loads of times on a long and short board and never seen anyone get hit badly. All you little girls just need ot stoping moaning.
tommo Sep 5, 2008 Rating: 15
this is insane. i think i'd give it a miss this day unless those guys were my best mates, not that i have that many, and it was party wave time
Luke Gartside Sep 3, 2008 Rating: 6
most of you dont have a clue about what your talking about... the reason this peak is so crowded is becase at the moment it only peaks properly close to the pier, which is why everyone trys to get on that, the reef will spred it out, meaning that there will be several peaks that are steep enough to take off on, meaning theyll be less crowded.

"I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of His Majesty's Government-every man of them. That is the will of Parliament and the nation. The British Empire and the French Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength. Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."

OH WHY DONT YOU JUST GET OVER IT. ohhh anf fatty man, its my wave ok ;)
jonnieboy Aug 22, 2008 Rating: 0
What you can't see is another 350 people all trying to catch it as well. Joe's right in that if the reef actually works it's going to be a long paddle for the groms and NSP/swell brigade + £2000000 an hour parking will keep the crowds down to only 600/700 people so no worries.
fatty.man Aug 22, 2008 Rating: 2
My wave! My Wave! no MY WAVE!! MYYYYY WAAAVE!!! F*** Off, Its MINE!!!!!

bos-vegas has been kooks'r'us for quite a while now. the guy from 'the real hustle' is about to fall over! captain jack sparrow is not looking either! and the other guy is gurning so hard he cant even see that someone has stood up already its a weak wave why surf it like this now ?????
Joe Hart Aug 21, 2008 Rating: 0
I don't think the reef will be to bad, yes it will get busy but to be honest it's going to be a very long paddle for most people out to the peak and the rips going to take care of the rest of us as it's funnelled between the pier and the reef. Either way the best thing is your not going to be able to park down here even if you wanted to. See you in the water.
jonnieboy Aug 20, 2008 Rating: 3
I never take anything seriously, especially not in the internet, light blue touch paper...stand back...watch ego's explode... Seriously speaking better manners in the water is a lesson pretty much everyone should learn...and i no longer surf Bournemouth due to the complete lack of respect that people have for each other...given that the surf here is pretty poor. Can't wait to watch the mayhem unfold at the Reef!!!

Joey miester, please refer to comments below--please don't come to the west country it is really bad and busy too -far better to go to ireland--heck what have I said now
Juan De Meyer Aug 19, 2008 Rating: 3
I agree with johnnyboy. Bournemouth sux bigtime, esepecially with the idiot longboarders. They need to learn some etiquette. Ive seen so many fools being run over by idiots that dont know what they are doing in the water down there! Every idiot and his dog are gonna try and surf the reef. In my opinion its a complete waste of money as it will never be clean enough for the wave to break properly.Bournemouth is all wind blown swell so it's not gonna be a good wave.

Hookay, this may upset a few--but home truths are my faves Here we go oh jonny boyo--It's too damn busy stay away from the west country that's feckin rammmed too---I blame surfschools, surfshops, dogs, fish, hamericans, surfcams, seals, internet, cameras, dolphins, geeks, snakes, creepy, blacks, whites, more hamericans, yellows, beans with sausages, cake, more hamericans, cowboys, gays, hamerican gay cowboys.creepie crawlies, creampies, parents, longboarders, shortboarders, sponges, flannels, goat boats,goverment,sand,gurls,sups,coaches,cars,V-DUBS,t/v,video's,cd roms but most of all MAGIC SEAWEED-----oooooaaaa phuck!! Anyone I've forgot I do apoligise
jonnieboy Aug 19, 2008 Rating: 1
I'm gonna stick to the west country and France/Portugal where you get some proper waves - Surfville your right the 2ft muppet soup that hits our beaches with all the force of a wet fart is far too much for an old salt like me. You can keep it mate - it's sh!t.
dave reid Aug 19, 2008 Rating: 16
I surf the south coast and yes it does get very packed, but the crowds thin as soon as the water temp drops. You can have some of the best winter swells to hit with just a hand full of people if you get up early and dont mind the cold. As for the reef it will get busy but as I said wait till January and see how many of them make it out.
surfville Aug 18, 2008 Rating: 3
JONNIEBOY- ITS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU CANT SURF THE SOUTHCOAST MORELIKE- TO BIG AND HEAVY FOR YOU!!
yobbydobby Aug 18, 2008 Rating: 10
IF THEY START CHARGING THEN JUST GET IN THE WATER AT THE NEXT BEACH ALONG AND PADDLE ROUND! THEY'LL NEVER TELL WHO OR WHERE YOU ARE! ITS COMMON SENSE!

This will be a quiet day compared to when they put the reef in at Boscombe ! If anyone truly believes the council are building the reef just for us surfers to enjoy, then think again. It is purely for tourism, publicity and money. They could have a big problem on their hands when someone gets killed out in the line-up due to overcrowding, and inexperienced water users. They have no way of regulating who surfs out there,so maybe they will start charging to surf it because they own it ???
powergraves Aug 18, 2008 Rating: 89
The artificial reef is a tax fiddle!! If you actually think it's for the surfers you are so very wrong
jonnieboy Aug 18, 2008 Rating: 72
This is why i no longer surf the south coast, sick of leaving the water more stressed out than when i got in, no one seems to understand the simple rules of etiquette that are needed when surfing a crowded spot - especially the 'locals' who think it's perfectly okay to drop in because they have surfed a break that bit longer. FUBAR only going to get a million times worse when the 'council' build the reef.
