traboys Jan 24, 2009 Rating: -3
Nice photo, just don't see its purpose on this site very much
Ja45 Jan 27, 2009 Rating: 5
Dunno I reckon photo archive would be very boring if it was full of 2 dimensional surf phots only... kinda same as surf films, the most enjoyable are always the ones that give you bit of culture a laugh or island life...
T-bird Jan 25, 2009 Rating: -2
As teetsville said, makes a shite place look nice. must be the towns tourism manager behind the lens. nice try buddy, we're on to you!
Pyeman Jan 23, 2009 Rating: 3
i see grey everywhere, does anyone see anything different?
Kaptain Kook Jan 23, 2009 Rating: -3
I this Amateur Photographer or a surfing site?
mantis Jan 23, 2009 Rating: -2
well the place looks like absolute sh*t for surfing. but the photographer has captured a glimpse of our cruel mistress the sea
Meunchkkleeerrr III Jan 23, 2009 Rating: 16
T-bird - actually this is why the photo is so good, becasue the actual place (coney beach & harbour) is an absolute hole and the beach is a horrible closeout only good when literally every other option is unworkable (and i use the term 'good' loosely) but yep the man has made it look about 100 x better than it actually is, and for that alone he is gifted.
mantis Jan 23, 2009 Rating: 0
ah yes, the aquatic cousin of the nobgobbla
sqirl Jan 23, 2009 Rating: 0
The obvious next evolutionary step in this chain would be.....the sponger!
soutie Jan 23, 2009 Rating: -2
i am sure it is a good place to twitch for the lesser known speckled grobblewobble.
mantis Jan 23, 2009 Rating: 2

T-bird Jan 22, 2009 Rating: -1

Pete Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 17
This really is a beaut!
Pete Britton Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 2
Wow, thank you all for the comments, amazing. If anyone does want to buy a copy (with a straight horizon!), then contact me through my website...peterbritton.com. Polarizer wasn't used, didn't need it, as the water was fairly far away, and wasn't too concerned about reflection, and I wanted the lens flare in there. Wanted the extra line, as that's what this shot is all about, leading you in. Some people hate lens flare, but sometimes i think it's fine.
Pete Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 1
flair, flare! you know what I mean!
Pete Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 1
Ha, Was just about to mention the flair then read your comment, good point looking at it again.
djmalthus Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 1

Meunchkkleeerrr III Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 2

i am a site contractor....we can level that island for $257,325.67 give or take. Leave a post if you are interested Pete.
plugusmaximus Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 5
I find the lens flare distracting and the horizon is not straight (school boy error!), but this aside the shot is good. It almost looks moon lit.
Will Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 2
i didnt even notice that island haha
soutie Jan 22, 2009 Rating: 13
horizon is not straight? what is he sposed to do, flatten that island with a grader?
Will Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 2
does a polarizer get rid of at least most glare?
alie Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 12
yea not often i commment on photo quality but thats bloody good m8 .
Papa Chambo Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 3
Its not very often I say this as I prefer talking rubbish with other fools who comment here, but that is a f*cking good photo and should be copyrighted and submitted for competitions.
surfing gepetto Jan 21, 2009 Rating: 1

Flargin Jan 20, 2009 Rating: 1
the focal point for me started down the stairway, then down the walkway next you got the open ocean and beyond that the sky! So much depth here, and great texture on everything. ART, RESPECT.
dr.vorfahrt Jan 19, 2009 Rating: 1
