i just thought about it, it is actually called a zoom lens, telescopic refers to rifle sights. not that it is my area of expertise. Come to think of it, I dont have one.

Nice shot.Does it actually make any difference to how the board rides? I mean , would you risk a late drop on a bigger wave or paddling out through heavy surf?

makes no difference to you ride, it weighs under 5oz. You also get a safety plug and leash with the Surf HERO so you can't loose it, even in huge surf. Rock on! Nice pic too!

No idea! But my mate in oz has wipedout in to rocks in over head surf and the camera is fine!I have some other pics in some of the galleries on mellowwave.co.uk check out oz gallery and kite surfing, some intresting duck diving ones too... cheers

Not really sure, I would say as large as the photo is right now you may get away with a 10x8.. I,ve only had the camera a couple of days and this was the first wave I caught so it's all new to me.
