I'd say the total destruction of the Mississippi River/Gulf of Mexico ecosystem is reason to "temper" excitement. Was it Tony Hayward who posted this report and video? Because it is about the most tone-deaf and insensitive post I could imagine with the ongoing disaster in the Gulf. Does this "Ed" person realize that the Deepwater Horizon Maconda Prospect well head probably won't be capped until September at the earliest? Any surfing in the Gulf of Mexico will require a Haz-Mat suit for some time to come. Thank You very much BP...

that's looks fairly decent, but it isn't Ikumi. I know where it is but I won't say. Curious, last time I checked it the recent construction seemed to indicate total destruction. I also heard someone drowned there last year.

	Great shots . I'm a photographer (amateur) in Westport WA USA and I am trying to start an international surfing event (online) on January 1st each year. I call it SURF DAY 1... and my goal is to inspire surfers to start the new year out right... in the water. What I would like (and this is where you come in) is for as many people as possible to send me a great picture from a New Years Day Surf Session.... wherever they are in the world. My goal for this first SURF DAY 1 is to get pictures from 10 countries and 50 beaches. Next year I want to make a bigger deal out of it. If you are taking pics on Jan 1 please email me one or two.
