I suppose I'll say my bit.. I've seen a handfull of local boys surf this wave. They put in the effort, surf it hard, and keep it secret. They don't expose it, they don't hype it. Yet you guys travel up, ask around as to where it is, finally find out and then surf it once and then tell the nation about how sick it was and how insane it was when you "found it." I mean... if you truely did just 'do it for the thrill' then there'd be no problem, but you, Stokesey, created so much hype for this, posting about 10 links to the trailer daily on your facebook and then finally blurting it out onto various outlets for all to see... you surfed the place ONCE. And now the country knows about what a hero you are and what an EPIC session you and your chums had. All hail Stokesey. Get a fucking grip, you won't be getting such a warm welcome up here in future I can tell.

If its barrelling then its gonna be fairly shallow. The reef in this photo where the wave is breaking is maybe 3ft to 4 ft deep, and shallower as the wave gets smaller. There is a good wave across the river from Thurso East itself called Shitpipe that is good for groms, i learned to surf there :) Nice right pointbreak kinda thing but not as aggressive as T.E, its usually smaller too so if T.E is too big Shitpipe is good :)

Reminds me of one of the scenes from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, that Jim Carey film. It might actually be the exact same place, :O

no, this was a competition.. there were no jetskis in the water. this isnt an air attempt its just a huge kick out after a good barrel.

	Hi Supernova. What happened to the comments? Anyway, I saw yours on your page.I hate people gving out secret spots too, I don't follow the surfing press nowadays, but I get the feel that the North Shore has been over exposed recently.Look at the good side, the pros always have good cheap boards for sale and I bet it's still uncrowded come December.
