hi mate was wondering if you can help me, im a bodyboarder from yorkshire, my local break is cayton bay. i've surfed here for about 20 years, everytime a go surfing about a week later a suffer with really dry skin on my feet and hands which cracks and then peels off. have you ever heard of this happening to anyone before? i've been to the docs with the problem but he just gives me cream to clam it down. i've tried all sorts of barrier creams but nothing seems to work!! when i dont wear gloves in summer its not as bad but it still peels, im desperate to find a cure for this,can you help me highlight my problem through magicseaweed? i would be greatful for any help with this really annoying problem!! thanks a lot. steve....

Hey Ed! Just wanted to send a quick message about the ammount a recent photos diplaying sensitive break names in the North Cornwall area alone... I presume this is a problem for other areas also? I don't upload photo's so please excuse the following if it already exist's, or if it doesn't make sense. Is there any scope to have a small warning appear when uploading photos or tagging places names that clearly explains the sensitivity of local break names...??? A lot of wanna be photographers really don't seem to get it... Then, if there are repeat offenders, maybe consideration should be made to not only removing their comment/photo, but also maybe their profile if it continues....??? I don't want to seem like a MSW dictator or anything, just getting slightlty ticked off of having to explain to these wanna be photographers, and justify why...??? Whats your thoughts, not doubt this isn't the first time this topic has been raised...???

hi ed, quick question, ever consider setting up comment rating so the +'s and -'s dont compete? instead of having one number there'd be two like +6 -10. instead of just a -4. i think on some middle of the road debates that go down we might see something like +20 -19, and see how many people voted, instead of it being just +1. great site either way, if i could check my email here it would probably be the only place in the www that i go!

I like that idea a lot tjo. I've seen that same 2 part vote counting system for rating comments in almost every other 'forum' I've seen lately. It actually seems pretty universal. I've never seen over-the-negative-threshold comments cause all replies to vaporize anywhere else either.

To answer that Ed....no you haven't and fair play to you because I really really was under the impression that I/we were allowed to contact other users via peoples profile pages. It was a genuine mistake on my part as I really didn't want to break the terms of the agreement made between yourselves and the user by the name of Sqirl.
