Mate thanks for the reply, sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I've surf Aberfraw a few times, but never on a decent day. Can't wait to catch it on a decent swell because I think it'll be my kind of wave. Whereabouts are you based? I've been ploughing through all the pics of Anglesey/Borth/Hells mouth and you seem to have been all over. I'm south of chester on the welsh border, so most of my surfing is done on the Llyn or Anglesey, although there a few spots further south I'm looking forward to checking out this winter. Anyways, kind regards, maybe catch you out back one day. Jd

Number 5. Possibly the scariest wave I've ever seen; and I should know, bein g from the south coast of england and all!
What is that craziness happining in the background? A reef I presume?
We were there! Must just be on the beach out of site but we were there! Really nice waves. Nicest I've seen it.

The Frauline is Aberfraw - the picture you are elduding to is at the far northern (to the right) end of the beach at extreme low tide: nice spot but pretty mad paddle out with the river rip...
