Not too shabby right now, I've been able to get in the water every day this week! I still dabble around with my ukulele as well! I do have a few shots to put up today! How's the good ol' UK?

Fair weather is always welcomed! I'm actually working at a gelato shop until it gets really cold, then it's temporary unemployment! The joys of living in a seasonal town haha
Yeah fair weather most def helps working there. But I hope that in this rubbish ecomonic climate we're all in, that you find another job Will reasonably quickly :)

Hope you don't mind the intrusion... but... Have just got back from a week free diving in Croatia and it was amazing! Might be up your street? We stayed on Hvar in the south. Water quality is superb and visibility is up to about 25m or so... We tied a rope between a big rock and a lilo for depth marking and managed to get down to about 14m. The water is a little chilly for just shorts, but maybe I'm a pussy! Loads to see! Fish are fast if you try to catch one for your dinner with just your hands and a smile. We went hungry but had a fantastic time. It's fairly quiet down there but they seem to be gearing the country up for tourism so I would recomend going before it gets too crowded! There's good climbing there too if that's your thing?
So thats where you've been then...glad you had a good time. Was that your first time free diving? Shame IceCreamHead isn't around anymore coz apart from surfing she was into free diving in quite a big way, and then she might of been able to give you even more tips.
That is awesome, Croatia does seem very beautiful! The water is finally clearing up here but soon no one will want to go since the water will be around 50 degrees in a month and after that a balmy 36 degrees haha
Hi Toad...Wondered where you were! I remember seeing some beautiful seaside pics of Dubrovnick many years ago before the nastiness in that region began. That was one of the first places shelled by the Serbs, as I recall...and it was heartbreaking to think about it. Am glad to hear normalcy and even (eco?)tourism are coming back finally.
First time freediving but not the last. I regret leaving all of my gear (wetsuit, mask, etc) in the UK. If I had had my board, it would have been a trip to Hoss. (sans Brittany Ferries ;) ) I've never seen water like it! I could only stay in for about 30 minutes at a time as the water was about 21ish degrees. The first couple of dives were deep and not much problem but as the cold creeps in, the dives were getting shallower and I found it hard to try and slow my heart rate and relax. We had some torrential rain for a couple of days and was 'perfect'. The run-off sent the fish into a feeding frezy! There were clouds of small fish, just like a Discovery documentary. Swim through the shoal and they would divide into two groups and then regroup. I felt like a kid at Christmas =)
We took a wonder around Hvar for an afternoon. It's propper old, with narrow cobbled streets with centuries of history towerering above you. Croatia is an amazing place and I would highly recomend it. Just take a smile and try and integrate. Even a hello, please and thankyou in the native tongue can get you a long way.
I know the feeling about being a kid at Christmas around all those fish haha. I still have trouble slowing my heart rate down too, I do it much better in a pool. Equalizing sucks too, I always feel like I'm going to implode! I am going to have to do a Europe trip sometime! It seems like it would be refreshingly different going to a proper old place
Oh dear, hope that it didn't cost too much to repair your laptop, but these things are sent to try us....and they certainly do. Hope you enjoy your camping trip, go anywhere interesting? As for me, well I'm okay as such but I has a row with a shelf with some heavy objects on, I lost and done my foot in.....very painful, bruised and swollen :( but otherwise I'm fine.
Hi Will how ya doing? Good I hope :) Nah haven't been out in the water since Easter and that was only for about 30 minutes, and that was the first time in absolutely ages :( It's a May Bank Holiday Monday here today, and typically the weather isn't all that.....chilly and raining, just the ''norm'' for the UK. But I've got things going on, so no I've had no chance of getting anywhere near the water. Did you catch any good ones? Oh yeah meant to ask before but are you going to be putting any more photos on here? It would be good if you did:)
I will definitely be bringing my camera more and trying to snap a few shots. It's tough since now my car broke down, I'm either biking or skating to the beach and I don't like to bring the camera then. But when I get to borrow a car I will definitely bring the camera. Plus usually the waves are so crap anyway and I have finals coming up :P Soon it will be full on summer and everything will be good (except the crowds of course)
Shame about your car Will, is it going to cost a small fortune to repair? That's the trouble with cars they're great until things go wrong. But I don't blame you for not taking your camera to the beach because you'll more then likely never see it again. So you got finals ay? Is that finals are this year or final finals? But good luck with them anyway:)
Like exams for the end of this term, I just finish my final paper for my composition class. It was not fun but gotta do it. And unfortunately the transmission in my car may be shot which can run up to $3000, not fun stuff haha but it is warm now so biking is more of an option

Hope you had a good day apart from the slight hitch there. Expert sponger???? Far from it.....I just take the waves the best I can and enjoy it. But to be honest Will I've never had that problem so can't really give you any good advice. And I'll be honest with you coz I don't go out during winter (Dec- March..ish toooooo damn cold) I rarely use boots,the rest of the time I just don't feel ''that'' cold.
