This is not Raglan!!!! Had no Tap button for this surf break, Cable Bay - Nelson. Swell gets to Nelson through a small N-NW window between the North and South Islands of New Zealand so it comes a goes very quickly but for that 1hour to 2 days of swell its or on with pionts, reef,shallow river mouths and beach breaks its an adventure just have to love Nelson a great place. This day at cable bay we were really lucky to get it as good as we did with a dieing swell and a fast incoming tide (Nelson has 5m (15ft) tides)it was a fun swell and wave to surf.

Cable bay is not a top secert spot, all the surfers in Nelson all know about it and if an (outsider) comes in and gets it on, if they are that lucky on the day good for them, besides my Cuz and I have afew other spots that I would never put out, hard to get to, no one out great surf.

Hi Sam, thanks for the coment mate and I'm glad that you enjoyed the vid. It was a good fun little surf and it was pretty shallow ah but did not hit the rocks too bad, Its a great wave especialy when its bigger. Where my cuz and I were ending the wave close to the rocks when its big it wraps around that section and barrels like crazy then goes on for another 50m. When its bigger the take off is alot futher up like where my Cuz was taking off on his first few waves. Hope you get to the beach again soon Sam keep up the surfing!!!!!
