Just down from Gizzy, East coast is a peninsula called Mahia, a little gold mine for big open ocean swells, adventure and a huge range of breaks, reef, points, beach anything you can handle.
Easter break in 1997 a few mates from school headed to Mahia and boy did we score it, well at least one side of the peninsula.
