Hey, I was SWIMMING there that day - it was one of those days where I swam and swam and got absolutely nowhere - trying to head along the beach against the current. It was a very exciting swim as I was buffetted about every bit as much as the canoes! I must have got out just before the canoe brigade arrived as I didn't see them, yet I was there at high tide seeing the waves crash on the prom wall. No wetsuit by the way... otherwise I might have stayed longer fo a bit more fun!!
