WestPier by Daniel Satchell
My inspiration for making this short film was quite simply my love of surfing next to such a magnificent structure, the West Pier.
Built in 1866, the West Pier has been closed and deteriorating since 1975, awaiting renovation, although after two fires and several storms, little is left in situ.
The West Pier to me, even in it's current state is truly a thing of beauty. Surfing beside it is an extremely humbling experience that very few of us share.
