WATERGATE Bay hosted the Asahi European Longboard event in contestable surf.

Some great surfing went down from Europe's best before the two form surfers of the event, Eduard Delpero and Ben Skinner met in the final. Ben Skinner took the win in emphatic fashion on his final wave with a long hang 10 and some solid turns.
