Raph Bruhwiler - The Canadian Way
This is a bit of a brilliant insight into Raph Bruhwiler and the real connection he has to the wild landscape of his native Canada.
SECTION: This section tells the story of Raph Bruhwiler who if its hunting season can be found in the forest tracking black tail deer when the surf is not all time. We tried to make this clip as organic as possible not adding to much artificial flair. Raph has also been working with a local Vancouver Island wood surfboard builder Wefi Surfboards on making light weight high performance cedar surfboards, we wanted to highlight Raph's wefi's as much as possible in this clip also. Vancouver Island is a pretty amazing place.
SURFER: Raph Bruhwiler is Canada's first professional surfer who is pretty much the most grounded human you will ever meet, and if you are lucky enough to have him as a Canadian surf tour guide, you will score.
FILMMAKER: Adam DeWolfe is from Vancouver Island also and has been shooting photo & video for a while.
MUSIC: Goodnight Texas, Song: The Railroad
ADDITIONAL FOOTAGE: Marty Kukler, "Junior" Kevin Walsh & Marc-André Laurin
SPECIAL THANKS: First off my Parents because they always keep me inspired and Isabelle for letting me sit on the computer and melt my brains out 18 hours a day without giving me to much flack & everyone who has ever said good job and fed my fire to keep trying to have a go at this filmmaking and photography stuff. Also big thumbs up to Randy at Wefi surfboards www.wefisurfboards.com for making crazy cedar surfboards for Raph to test pilot. Thank you.
