SEVEN surgeries, a month in coma, a promising job, a beautiful model girlfriend, a rock star life without having a band, or singing; cars, money, dope, succes and my soul was going to some place that seemed really close to hell. After I recovered from a really complicated infection in my intestines that kept me in Hospital for seven months I started to remember that my happiest moments were in the water. Doctors told me that I could never surf again, university teachers told me I was throwing my future away. I just bought the tickets and grabbed the money I earned feeding all that big lie I was calling work and chose the heaviest waves I could imagine to surf and document them. I arrived in Hawaii two weeks ago to film and shoot photos as an independent filmaker. (I'm also working as a freelance for two Latin American TV shows on ESPN and Turner Broadcasting) But primarily I am No Sponsor Media an independent production company, which is basically me and my girl travelling with tons of equipments and boards around the world. The last three years I've been documenting moments and waves around Tahiti, Mexico, Chile, Hawaii and Argentina spending entire seasons in each place. I film the ocean because that's what I love to do. I would do it even if I didn't get paid. Juan Bacagianis ”
