Strong Offshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Thursday 4th April 2013:
It's a cold 'un out there this morning!
The wind is whistling across the dunes, gnawing at anything exposed, blowing fine grains of sand into those vertical but tiny waves. The sun is vaulting over the horizon in full glow, the promise of some warmth for later but right now a little ineffective.
So it's a beautiful scene again, just freezing!
The surf has dropped right off, barely a foot of crunchy, superfast zippers, the odd set every ten minutes (or more!?) teasing us with what could be again. With only a neap high tide this lunch time, the tide is not going to be a great help in pushing up any size, so I guess that we can look forward to a longboard glide session at best. And that would be a whole lot better if this wind relaxed!
