Medium Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.10 a.m. on Friday 5th April 2013:
It's the view of the Tundra out there this morning, that north easterly wind having spread a dry-frosted look to the place. And, yep, it is still bone numbingly chill in that wind too!
The surf isn't any better either with barely a foot of brittle looking waves slapping the freezing shore.
The wind is a little strong and a little too northerly to allow for clean or fun surf this morning and so it does look like a bit of a waste of time. A bit of an ordeal too! But that sun is just highlighting the odd set wave (if you can legitimately call a 'shin high' wave a set that is!) and making it look just that little bit more attractive.
It will be worth having a little look later, maybe mid-morning when that tiny tide might have boosted it all a little while at the same time providing some shelter from this wind. But at best we can hope for a chilling one foot gliding session. It should be sunny though!
