Surf conditions at 7.15 a.m. on Thursday 18th April 2013:
It's looking a bit meaty around here this morning too!
Some thick walls of water are marching beachwards, a bit warped and a bit bumpy but throwing out as much as they are jumping up. There are some thick pits out there this morning!
A handful of guys are shuffling in and taking a few on the head but they should be rewarded by the odd one of those screaming righthanders that are spinning off the Rock, although, Harlyn being the way that it is, they might just have to take a few more on the head before finding those occasional barreling tubes!
Cheyne's is still firing those spinning walls too, even though it's a good couple of hours after low tide. So that could be an after work option for later.
And of course there should be a whole bunch of other sheltered breaks, those little tucked away spots, hidden along this craggy coastline that will be having great surf today. You just have to duck out of the wind and find that elusive spot that shelters the swell!
