Polzeath 6.15: As we expected the sea is just about flat calm this morning with just a few ripples arriving on the beach which I guess will be okay for the learners on big Swellies but I think most surfers will find a little frustrating. Fear not though guys as there is a big old low scampering across the North of these Isles which will be sending us down some swell for the weekend. It’s all looking quite rosy for the bank holiday with some sunshine, some warmth and as I mentioned some waves. High water today will be at 11.00 ish this morning with low tide this evening at 5.30. Don’t forget that we are open today so come and have a look at our selection of surfboards, demo and board, or get the old one fixed. Big News I will be doing a demo day at New Polzeath on Sunday so come down and give a different board a try. About Escape Surfboards
At Escape Surfboards we are dedicated to producing the best surfboards that are going to suit all surfers, no matter what your ability. We have been working on several new designs over the winter that will get the best out of our slack summer waves. As well as refining our already successful designs we have taken a look at what has been going on in the rest of the world and the results are the all new Kiwi Burst which is a new take on the mini-mal/Flying Carpet concept with a wider body and diamond tail. The Kiwi Burst can be surfed either as a single fin, Thruster or Quad and will be sold exclusively through Magic Seaweed. The second board is the Mini-S which is very much a mini-simms design with its distinctive parallel outline, S deck, with hull shaped bottom entry leading to single concave in the tail; surfed either as a keel twin or quad the Mini-S will be a great board for beating the summer small surf blues. We specialize in making boards in either polyester or epoxy resin and can fix your board in almost any construction. Check out our website, www.facebook.com/EscapeSurfboards email surfescape@gmail.com or get on the old blower and call 01208 863962 for anything surfboard.
