Calm Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Friday 3rd April 2013:
It's a bright and beautiful morning to one side with a little cloud bank building to the other. A windless and still morning is unfolding around us, filled with birdsong but silent surf.
It is all but flat in the bay this morning, tiny ripples washing ashore too weak to carry a surfboard, yet.
it might be the dropping tide before we see any wave action but there should be some surf this afternoon, if only small and maybe a bit wishy washy. The south westerly wind that is forecast for this afternoon should push up a foot or two of windswell, so if you're keen then this afternoon is our best hope. But even then it is unlikely to be much more than knee high and fairly weak until this evening. There might just be some sign of something a little more by then.
So what's your plan for the holiday weekend? If you're heading our way it might be worth dropping in on us to check out some boards and wetsuits that we are having that final clearance on.
New wetsuits and loads of other stock have been arriving ready for another season of fun-in-the-sun (!?), filling our tiny little store to bursting point! So if you're looking for a bit of a bargain, it could just be worth having a little look in!
