Medium Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.50 a.m on Saturday 4th April 2013:
Wow, it's a shocker of a start to the day!
A drizzly, mizzly, wet 'n windy one, full of murky, grey sky sadness and chilly too! But apart from that...?
The surf is rolling in at three to maybe just about four feet, the wind fresh and onshore making for a mess of broken waves an hour or so ahead of low tide. The south westerly wind is brisk enough to mess the surf up but is slow in shifting this thick weather, it will though, eventually! Brighter stuff is already starting to show itself, slowly. And it is fairly mild.
So the English Championships down at Watergate are going to be contestable but maybe a bit of an endurance test too. Good luck to all the guys involved in that, there should be some really good surfing going on there today!
Meanwhile back here, let's have a little look over the headland at Harlyn, this south westerly wind might be a little better over there.
So what's your plan for the holiday weekend? If you're heading our way it might be worth dropping in on us to check out some boards and wetsuits that we are having that final clearance on.
New wetsuits and loads of other stock have been arriving ready for another season of fun-in-the-sun (!?), filling our tiny little store to bursting point! So if you're looking for a bit of a bargain, it could just be worth having a little look in!
