3ft Light Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 6.55 a.m. on Tuesday 14th May 2013: That wind, light as it is, is breezing across the beach making those otherwise quite glassy waves a bit sloppy and bumpy. It's okay, okay enough for the half dozen already out and having some fun, but you wouldn't call it great. The set waves are bigger than expected and those out are getting some relatively peaky walls. But there are a couple of others in their cars waiting to see if it is going to get better. And it should do but maybe not until later. So, a couple to three feet, a little sloppy, a little grey but with that silver light spreading and the wind forecast to change at some stage. You'll probably have a half decent surf here today if you get the timing right!
