Surf conditions at 6.25 a.m. on Monday 17th June 2013:
It's warmer this morning.
Still grey (well more silver really) with the wind having dropped to a superlight breeze, still offshore but barely noticeable, still overcast but full of promise for brighter for later.
And the waves are looking real fun.
It is smaller at only a couple of feet but the sets are doing it, they are a good bit bigger than that and they are lip launching at low tide!
Yep, it is looking really quite good. Much better than I was expecting. But how long it is going to stay as glassy and peeling as it is, well, it does have that 'settled' feel!
Two to three feet of glassy HTC? And it is still very quiet around the area!
Congrats to Alan Stokes on winning his fifth Newquay Night Surf event and congratulations too to Ed Smith on taking the under 18s, while Ben Bennett rocked into 3rd in the closely fought final for the under 20s. And a good night was had by all! Pics below by WWW.THEBEACHLIFE.CO.UK
