Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Friday 21st June 2013:
The grey and silver mizzle of a damp and lazy morning is lifting gradually, brightness spreading steadily with the breeze, brightening up this Summer Solstice morning.
The surf is a sloppy and bumpy couple to three feet. Lines are still showing but warpy and crumbly lines, shaking as they break, grey and shiny watery walls flopping ashore, just occasionally hollowing out and breaking with some force.
The breeze is west north westerly right now, predicted to slip more westerly but stay light through most of the day.
So it should improve through midday on the incoming tide.
By lunchtime I would imagine that we should be enjoying some pleasantly bright weather and a decent three feet of sloppy surf.
And that will do!
