Strong Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.35 a.m. on Saturday 22nd June 2013:
That was a bit wet!
I was caught out by a blaster of a power shower while on the headland this morning, a gusting south westerly wind blowing a sky full of wetness around.
But it has already brightened up again.
And that is probably going to be the way of it today, a gusting sou' wester blowing little squalls across the bays every now and then with much brighter and more pleasant bits in between.
The surf is rolling through, three feet of windblown swell pushed along by that same wind, a deep tourquoise mix of windswept water.
It's going to build, increasing two or three times its present size but that wind is going to keep it messy, mucky and all mixed up.
Let's have a little look over the windswept headland and see what Harlyn Bay has to offer today.......
And if you want to be quietly amazed, sit back with your morning cuppa and let your eyeballs feast on this: vimeo.com/68777586
