Surf conditions at 6.25 a.m. on Sunday 30th June 2013:
It's gradually brightening up, the mist and mizzle of an hour or two ago now pretty much completely gone, a light breeze blowing fresher air our way.
The surf is a couple of feet, the sets are bigger but not by much. And it is still a bumpy and sloppy swell, that breeze having slipped south west, staying onshore.
So, right now it is a little overcast with a couple to three feet of sloppy surf but it is better than it sounds. It's not great but it is definitely okay. And, according to the forecasts, it should get brighter, warmer and the surf should get cleaner.
A big shout out to all you happy little festival goers, I'm quite jealous of you lot at Glastonbury this year! What a lineup and flip flop weather too?
Meanwhile for those few of us who haven't managed to get to Glastonbury orWimbledon or Silverstone, the water is warming up (slowly but surely!), the weather is improving (in spite of the Beeb's conservative forecasting) and our visitors are not yet upon us. And that makes for quiet beaches and relaxed lineups, a chilled vibe around the area. So, hose down the barbee and chill the vino collapso for those post surf evenings on the beach!
And drag out the longboard for a relaxing glide in those brief moments of sunshine!
We still have a bit of a GiveAway SALE going on with our surfboards this weekend, so drop in on us if you're around!
